Reiki Healing Certifcations
What is Reiki?
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – “Rei” which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and “Ki” which is “life force energy”. Reiki may be defined as “spiritually guided life force energy.” Reiki is a gentle, Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
A Reiki practitioner uses hands to guide healing universal energy into and around the client. Reiki treats issues ranging from stress and emotional issues to chronic pain and illness, and promotes balance and wellness. Reiki treats the whole person – Mind, Body and Spirit – creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Reiki has been used in a variety of settings, including hospitals and clinics. Reiki works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to promote recovery, good overall health, and wellness.
